ARENA AND ARRIVAL
Competition will be held in the area of Ventspils Old town. Considering the tight schedule of Kurzemes Pavasaris 1. day the competitors are allowed to arrive at the area anytime. Respect the Fair-play rules – Competitors, who have not started yet, are not allowed to contact the finished competitors! Information will be updated.
TERRAIN
Sprint is going to take place in Ventpils Old town. Terrain – mixed building area, irregular street network and several parks. Competition area is mostly flat with no significant ascent. 90% hard surface – asphalt, pavement, cobblestones and gravel. 10% soft surface – grass in parks.

Participants are allowed to be in the sprint area without an orienteering map. Training with a map and route choice testing is not allowed.

Classes: MW 12, 14, 16, 18, 21E, 21, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75
OPEN – sprint orienteering course with free start time from 18:00 until 19:00
Entry to the OPEN class possible in advance and also on the competition day in the area.

INFORMATION FOR MW21E
The start draw for the M21E and W21E classes in both competition days will be based on the IOF Sprint Orienteering World Rankings on April 1st, 2024. The competitors will be divided into 3 or more start groups (max 10 athletes per start group), ranked in order based on their IOF Orienteering World Ranking points. Within each group, lots are drawn to decide the start order. The best ranked group starts last.
ENTRIES AND FEES
Entry for all classes by using LOF online entry registration system. When applying, indicate participant's name, surname, group, club, LOF ODB number, personal SPORTIdent card number (or indicate that you are going to rent an SI card). MW21E athletes must provide their IOF ID number.
Payments must be made according to the entry deadline.

Registration after 31.03.2024 possible only on vacant places with a surcharge of +50% of the standard fee! Any competitor changes made on the competition day will be charged with a 2 Eur fee per competitor.
Entry fee for OPEN class - 8 EUR. There is no surcharge for OPEN class entries on the competition day.
Entry fee payments by bank transfer to OK Saldus bank account. Bank transfer shall include information about the competitor (or several competitors) for whom the entry fee is made.

THE PUNCHING SYSTEM
SPORTIdent AIR+. controls will work in classic contact and contactless mode. Competitors using own SI cards must provide the card number at time of entry. Organizers will provide rental SIAC cards for an extra fee of 1 EUR per day. Please mark this in registration system during registration. In case of lost or damaged rented SIAC, the participant shall cover the full SIAC card value (65€) to organizers.

The best three participants in each category will be awarded prizes from the sponsors.

COMPETITORS RESPONSIBILITY
Competitions participate on their own risk. During the race each participant takes full responsibility for their own health and actions. Parents or guardians are fully responsible for their children in the competition area and on the course.
The traffic in the town will not be stopped and the participants are responsible for observing traffic regulations. Please be careful when crossing the streets!
Those finished are not allowed to communicate with participants who have not started yet!
By entering the competition, a competitor agrees that any media material created at Kurzemes Pavasaris can be further used in any marketing or advertising activities. Additionally, a competitor agrees to the use of personal data (name, surname) by organizers when publishing competitor lists and results.
GPS DEVICES
From entering the pre-start area until the finish, participants may not use communication devices, unless the use of such devices has been authorized by the organizers. GPS devices may only be used for data storage purposes.
