ARRIVAL AND WARM-UP ZONE

Warm-up zone will be in the territory of Auce Culture Hall and close to the competition centre.
Start will be in a close distance from the warm-up zone.
Competitors, who have not started yet, are not allowed to contact the finished competitors.
Possession or use of any orienteering or other maps of the competition area is prohibited during the competition day at the race site until officially permitted.
Information about arrival and the warm-up zone will be updated.

TERRAIN

Sprint is going to take place in the centre of Auce. Terrain – mixed building area, irregular street network and a park. The terrain is mostly flat, no significant ascent.
Choice of clothing and footwear - free.

Map Auce is embargoed.
There is partial embargo in the area. It is allowed to enter and to stay on the embargoed area before April 1. Training with a map and route choice testing is not allowed. Information about arrival and compeition embargo rules will be updated.

MW 12, 14, 16, 18, 21E, 21, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75
OPEN 1 – technically simple course
OPEN 2 – classic sprint orienteering course
OPEN classes have free start time between 18:00 and 19:00 and can register also at the event centre on the competition day.
The start draw for the M21E and W21E classes will be based on the IOF World Rankings on March 26th, 2023. The competitors will be divided into 3 or more groups, ranked in order based on WRE points. Within each group, lots are drawn to decide the start order. The best ranked group starts last.
The winning times are planned according to LOF rules.
Maximum allowed running time in all classes – 60 minutes

THE PUNCHING SYSTEM

Sportident touch-free/contact punching system is applied for all categories. SIAC cards are available for rent (fee 1.50 €). If no SI card number is indicated during the entry, a hired SIAC will be allocated automatically. In case of lost or damaged rented SIAC, the participant shall cover the full SIAC card value (65€) to organizers.

Registration after 26.03.2023 possible only on vacant places with a surcharge of +50% from standard fee.

OPEN classes can register on the day of the event at the event arena
Entry fee for OPEN classes - 7 EUR. There is no surcharge for OPEN class entries on the competition day.

Entry fee payments by bank transfer to OK Saldus bank account. Bank transfer shall include information about the competitor (or several competitors) for whom the entry fee is made.

PRIZE GIVING

The best three participants in each category will be awarded prizes from the sponsors.

RESPONSIBILITY

Competitions participate on their own risk. During the race each participant takes full responsibility for their own health and actions. Parents or guardians are fully responsible for their children in the competition area and on the course.

The traffic in the town will not be stopped and the participants are responsible for observing traffic regulations. Please be careful when crossing the streets!
Those finished are not allowed to communicate with participants who have not started yet!

By entering the competition, a competitor automatically agrees that any media material created at Kurzemes Pavasaris can be further used in any marketing or advertising activities. Additionally, a competitor agrees to the use of personal data (name, surname) by organizers when publishing competitor lists and results.

GPS DEVICES

From entering the pre-start area until the finish, participants may not use communication devices, unless the use of such devices has been authorized by the organizers. GPS devices may only be used for data storage purposes.

VISAS

Citizens of EU, EEZ and holders of Schengen area residence permit are not required a visa to enter the Republic of Latvia.
